The Environment Agency and the Isle of Wight Council are working in partnership to modernise coastal defences for Ventnor. This scheme will help protect businesses and infrastructure from erosion over the next 60 years. Feedback on the Landscape Vision and Opportunities Plan

We’ve created this space so you can tell us what you think about the new Landscape Visions & Opportunities Plan for Ventnor’s coastline. This high‑level vision brings together a wide range of ideas inspired by the feedback you’ve already shared with us — but nothing in the report is final. It’s a starting point for conversation, not a list of confirmed projects.

Not all of the ideas can be funded through the Coastal Defence Scheme. Some opportunities could be delivered as part of the project with external funding contributions, while others could be taken forward independently in the future.

We want to know what feels right, what sparks your imagination, and what you think could be improved. Your comments will help shape the next steps as we continue planning for Ventnor’s future.
