We engaged with the community via a drop in session in September 2024 when we were still at the early stages of the OBC options development. We asked you for knowledge and experience of the extent and causes of flooding in South Elmsall, and also gave details of our investigations and understanding at that stage.

We were very grateful to receive detailed and wide-ranging information from many different stakeholders. The responses aligned well with the picture we had developed through investigations and flood modelling.

Engagement will increase as we develop more detail of the preferred option, and especially where local knowledge can add value to the nature of the solution we are developing.
