Upcoming Works: Northern Power Grid

Impact on some residents likely

Northern Power Grid (NPG) and contractors, Freedom, will be present within the village starting Thursday 20th August until Friday 28th August. During this period NPG and/or contractors Freedom, will undertake multiple activities in and around the playing field

Thursday 20th August

NPG staff will begin installation of new steel pole, works include excavating a pole hole, installing the pole and letting the concrete infill set around the pole. This area will be cordoned off as the works are ongoing and the concrete sets

Monday 24th August

NPG contractors Freedom to begin the excavation from the newly installed Steel pole across the playing field and up to the pole at the side of Mill Lane. This is scheduled for 3 days including the installation of the new Low Voltage cable. This should have no impact on traffic

Friday 28th August

There is set to be a Localised Power Outage as the works include the dropping of the existing overhead wires across the field area and connection/energise the new Low Voltage cable. These works are scheduled for most of this day with the Power Outage affecting some, but not all residents from 09:00 – 14:00.
