Shingle transfer trial has begun - 16 April

Working with Hastings Borough Council, we’ve started stockpiling shingle at Hastings ahead of its planned transfer to Pevensey Bay.

This new trial to transfer shingle locally will help maintain beach levels and reduce flood and erosion risk for Pevensey Bay in the short term. It’s an important step in managing today’s coastal challenges as we continue shaping future plans for the medium and longer term.
