Pevensey Beach Manager update - 19 March

Our team is currently recycling shingle along over 7.5 km of coastline - moving material built up at Cooden and placing it between Old Martello Road and Sovereign Harbour to help maintain beach levels. Because the harbour arm blocks natural longshore drift from Eastbourne, we also bring shingle in through a bypass, transporting material by road.

Later this week we’ll be working at White Point. The tipper trucks will begin moving material from Monday 23 March for around 5-7 days, delivering it to the North East Beach.

If you’re visiting this area, please use Eugenie Way or Caroline Way while the tipper trucks are operating.
Thank you for your patience while we carry out this essential work.
