Ground investigations - August

Ground investigation works start up again this coming Monday 3 August. They are part of the multi-million-pound Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne Coastal Management Scheme.

Teams will be drilling, sampling and carrying out small excavations.

All seafront paths, beaches and local businesses will remain open as normal. Some noise from machinery is expected during working hours Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, but disruption will be kept to a minimum.

Works are expected to continue until the end of August 2026.
