  • Birmingham skip firm pays £9,495 for failing to remove waste

    A Birmingham skip hire company has been ordered to pay £9,495.50 for disobeying a magistrates’ court order to remove all waste from a site. The company, Action Skip Hire Limited, pleaded guilty at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday 2 March 2026 in a case brought by the Environment Agency.

  • Yorkshire waste site has permit revoked

    The Environment Agency served a revocation notice in June last year to the company as part of enforcement efforts to reduce the impact the site is having on the local community. The company appealed the decision through the Planning Inspectorate and a hearing was held in December last year.

  • Site shut down as Wigan waste investigation continues

    A court order is now in place prohibiting anyone from importing waste to the site known as “The Old Cricket Ground” in Bickershaw.

    The Restriction Order was granted at Wigan Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 25 February and will last six months.
