Joining up drainage, wastewater and surface water planning

We have completed the technical work for our project that explored how Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans can be better aligned with surface water flood risk planning. Using West Northamptonshire as a case study, we developed and trialled a more joined-up, collaborative approach to water planning with partner organisations including those whose work focuses on water and flood risk management.

We are now preparing a short non-technical summary and a set of key messages to help share the project’s learning and support the uptake of its outputs. Once finalised, these will be added to our Integrated Water Management Hub.
