  • December 2025 scheme newsletter now available

Read our scheme newsletter to find out more about events planned in 2026, recent survey works, and how to stay safe from flooding this winter.

  • April 2025 scheme news

    Scheme survey works

We will be conducting surveys in the potential scheme area soon. We will have clear signage in the survey areas, and will equip our engineers with postcards to explain the works being carried out. Surveys are a normal part of any flood defence project, and can help inform us what could work where.

    February public events

In February, we hosted two public events, one in person at the Electric Theatre and one online on MS Teams. Over 100 people attended our in person event, providing positive feedback about both the event itself and the scheme. To view the event materials, including information posters and maps, please navigate to 'materials from public event'.

    Engaging the community

We have been busy engaging with the community attending farmers markets, Guildford library events and displaying posters around town. If you would like us to visit your community group please contact us at guildfordfloodscheme@environment-agency.gov.uk
