Property Survey reports update

We are currently reviewing individual property reports before sending a copy of the report to residents in August 2025. The report will detail the hazards we have identified and the options that are being recommended for each home to reduce flood risk.
We have completed property hazard surveys for over 80 homes to assess the risk of flooding and identify potential Property Flood Resilience (PFR) measures. We have also been speaking with residents that did not respond.
Homeowners will have time to review their report. We will be holding drop-in sessions in August and September to give people an opportunity to come and ask us any questions, help them to understand the options and why we have selected them. We will give more details about the dates and locations for these drop-ins shortly.
Our aim is to provide Property Flood Resilience measures free of charge to eligible residents. However, we need to review our costs against the projected benefits provided to justify the funding we get.
Depending on the outcome of the review, the next steps would involve our specialist installation contractor completing a detailed site survey to each property. This would be followed by a discussion between the installation contractor, the Environment Agency and the property owner to agree and select which product design are to be installed should they want to go ahead with the scheme.
