Come and talk to the Environment Agency on the Isles of Scilly

We are holding a public drop-in event on Monday 5 October 2026, where you can speak directly with Environment Agency staff.

  • Time: 2:30pm – 6.00pm
  • Venue: Old Wesleyan Chapel, Garrison Lane, Hugh Town, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly, TR21 0JD
  • Who can attend: Everyone is welcome; no appointment is needed

The main focus of the event will be South West Water's plans to upgrade wastewater treatment on the Isles of Scilly. South West Water has said its revised proposals will include secondary wastewater treatment. The Environment Agency is awaiting the company's full environmental permit application and will assess the proposals independently against legal and environmental requirements.

You are also welcome to drop in for an informal conversation about anything water quality, ask about our work, raise a local concern or find out how to stay informed.

There will be no formal presentation, so please come along at any point during the advertised times. We may not be able to answer every detailed question on the day, but we will record anything that needs further investigation and arrange a follow-up where appropriate.

If you need any adjustments to attend or would like to submit a question in advance, please contact dcisenquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk.
