Following the cessation (discontinuance) of the former clay brickworks by backfilling the eastern excavation void with inert waste and soils, the operator fulfilled the requirements to ensure the stability of the surrounding embankments.

The operator has, and is continuing to undertake remediation and restoration works at Saxon Pit on the site’s eastern buttress.
