Where is the site?
The site is located at Ridgeway Park Farm, Long Lane, Pershore, WR10 2LA.
EA Action
There is no activity at the site, which is secured with fencing and locked gates. The site is under the control of a court appointed enforcement receiver following an application by the Environment Agency.
The landowner was convicted and sentenced to 26 months imprisonment in 2018.
The Environment Agency continues to work closely with partners to manage the risks of pollution from the site. We created breaks in November/December 2023 to reduce the risk of a fire spreading.
We attended the site with Hereford & Worcestershire Fire and Rescue Service in December 2025, to ensure that our incident plan is up to date.
The Magistrates’ Court is dealing with the enforcement of the confiscation order imposed on the landowner, as it does with all confiscation orders.
What has the Environment Agency done to date?
The Environment Agency’s investigation began in 2012. Criminal proceedings were concluded in 2018.
A court appointed enforcement receiver took possession of the site on 5 June 2023.
