August 2026 Update: Improvements to All Saints Parish Hall

• Our works remain ahead of schedule, but we are still due to be on site until spring 2027.
• We will start brickwork and reinstatement of the northern wall from September to November.
• Work is underway to return the dock to nature and install a new metal gate as a piece of public art.
• We are finalising interpretation boards telling the dock’s fascinating story.
• Thank you once again for your patience as we complete these essential works.

Improvements to All Saints Parish Hall

The Swan Draw Dock project team, alongside our supply chain partner Lorclon Ltd., have delivered improvements at All Saints Parish Hall, delivering lasting benefits for the nursery, hall users and the wider community.

Throughout July, Balfour Beatty and Lorclon Ltd carried out a range of improvements to create a safer, tidier and more practical environment. This included supplying and installing a brand-new security fence, a dedicated buggy shed for the nursery, a garden tool shed and a separate shed for beekeeping equipment.

As part of the project, we also repurposed timber logs already on site at the church to create a balancing play trail for the nursery children, giving new life to existing materials while creating an engaging play feature.

The new facilities have enhanced the space, improved storage and security, and provided practical resources that will serve the community for years to come.
