Concerned about the river Leen

I was just wondering, who is responsible for tidying up the river Leen in Bulwell it’s getting so bad there is stuff cans bites trolleys rubbish all in the water and there’s a lot of wildlife down there. I’ve tried to do my bit but it’s an impossible task. Kind regards, Mr. Binch.

Walking the Leen

The River Leen can be walked from its source in Newstead to the River Trent outflow near Wilford. A walk of around 18 miles in total from start to end. The Nottingham Local Access Forum has put together a step by step guide for the route breaking it down into 5 easy to walk sections that link in with public transport to enable you to walk the route in stages and return to your starting point.
