Public Consultation

We are planning to hold our first public consultation soon.

We will be asking your opinion on a range of proposed changes to reservoir safety regulation across England and Wales, including:

  • what is in scope for regulation
  • a new hazard classification system for reservoirs
  • an improved safety management system for reservoirs
  • clearer responsibilities for reservoir owners
  • changes to the engineer panels and their responsibilities
  • new responsibilities for regulators
