Community drop in event 13 July 2026

On 13 July 2026, we held a public drop-in event at St Mary's Church Hall in Portreath to share the latest proposals for the Portreath Flood Resilience Scheme before submitting a planning application. The event provided an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to view the proposals, learn more about the scheme, and discuss how feedback from the community and key consultees has helped shape the design.
Members of the project team were on hand throughout the event to answer questions, explain the proposals in more detail and discuss any concerns raised by residents. We would like to thank everyone who attended and took the time to speak with us.
We know that residents remain particularly interested in topics such as water quality, flood risk, drainage, maintenance requirements, impacts on wildlife and the character of the village. We have provided information on these and other frequently asked questions on this page and will continue to update these resources as the project progresses and further enquiries are received.
