We understand there’s been some misinformation circulated recently about the Portreath Flood Resilience Scheme, so we’d like to provide some clear, straightforward information.
This scheme has been developed with the aim of supporting and protecting the community, not to harm it.
Here are the key points:
The scheme will not affect water quality at Portreath Beach.
It is focused on reducing flood risk for more than 100 existing homes and businesses — it is not linked to plans for new housing development.
Its purpose is simply to help make the community more resilient to flooding.

11:30am–4:00pm: Drop‑in session open to all residents. No appointment needed.
These monthly sessions are informal opportunities to talk with the project team and are not a statutory consultation process. We hope to see you there.
Thank you for your contribution!
