Checking our assets

The Gainsborough Field Team has been out and about across the area this week, giving all our local flood‑risk assets a thorough check‑up. It’s all part of the ongoing work we do throughout the year to keep water flowing where it should and to help reduce flood risk for local communities.

Our team’s job involves making sure watercourses are clear so water can move freely, removing anything that might cause a blockage. We also test and operate our flood‑risk assets to make sure everything will work exactly as it should.

If we spot anything that needs more attention, we log it straight away and work with partners and local landowners to get it sorted.
