Baxter's Bridge

During a routine visit to Baxter's Bridge on Monday, we observed that the pointing doors were approximately 95% closed. This was unexpected given the current low water levels in Mill Dam Dyke.

Our Field Team attended the site on Tuesday to investigate. They confirmed that the doors were able to operate freely and showed no signs of damage or obstruction. The gates were subsequently left in the open position.

While the reason for the doors being closed remains unclear, the Field Team will continue to monitor them as part of their monthly operational checks to ensure functionality and prevent recurrence.
