Project Update – Public Drop-in Event at Glinton Village Hall

On Wednesday 22nd April, we held a public drop-in event at Glinton Village Hall, which was attended by over 20 members of the local community. The session provided an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the Maxey Cut banks refurbishment project and to speak directly with the project team.
During the event, the team was available to:
- talk through the outline design and answer project-related questions
- present and explain the project benefit area
- discuss the indicative site layout with affected landowners
- share updates on recent environmental survey results
- gather local knowledge on wildlife and heritage features
- explain current routine grass cutting and in-channel weed cutting activities along the Maxey Cut
- discuss local flood warnings, flood alerts, and flood resilience measures
- promote and provide support with accessing the project Engagement HQ page. If you’d like to promote this page in your community please print/share our poster, which is available in the information panel on this page.
The event was a valuable opportunity to engage with the community, answer questions, and gather local insight to help inform the project as it progresses.
