High Priority Waste Site Profiles
The Environment Agency is committed to being open and transparent about our work. By sharing information about the environmental risks we identify, we help elected representatives, local communities, businesses and the voluntary sector better understand the issues, hold us to account, and take informed action where they can.
This page provides information about some of the sites currently included on our Waste Site Watchlist. We will update it regularly as new information becomes available and additional sites are added.
We publish this information to help you stay informed about the work we are carrying out in your area and the action we are taking to protect people and the environment.
About the site profiles
Each site profile provides a more detailed summary of sites recorded in the Watchlist, including information on:
The nature and history of the site
Regulatory activity and interventions at the site
Where possible, next steps on planned activity at the site
As activity at some of the sites on the list may be subject to ongoing investigation, we may not be able to share all of the information listed above. We will look to refresh this data as and when appropriate to do so.
Transparency and data
We recognise the strong public interest in waste regulation and environmental performance.
By publishing site profiles, we aim to:
Provide accessible information about high profile sites
Make it easier for communities to understand regulatory action taken near them
Enable other stakeholders to see how we’re prioritising regulatory action
We are not able to comment on specific incidents currently under ongoing criminal investigations, and will update the profiles on these matters if appropriate.

Report an environmental problem
If you are concerned about pollution, waste activity, odours, water pollution or another environmental issue, please report it to the Environment Agency using the appropriate reporting channels.
Your reports help us identify problems, assess risks and prioritise our work to protect people and the environment.
