Land ownership can be a complex topic, including whether you own a watercourse. It is sometimes unknown, disputed, or difficult to work out, even when looking at title deeds for a property. We must meet health and safety obligations to ensure our assets are safe for or workforce and the public, and meet relevant habitat obligations. We must also maintain eel and fish passes, and Flood Storage Reservoirs.
